In recent years, a considerable amount of data has shown that the dim sum
(morning tea) industry is no longer as prosperous as it once was. The fast‑paced
urban lifestyle has reduced the frequency with which people visit dim sum
restaurants for morning tea, and most young office workers find it difficult to
devote time to this tradition. There has also been a blurring of the traditional
morning tea time frame, along with the rise of “night tea” as a new trend.
